SERRA RELEASES GUMDROPS: WHOLE FRUIT GUMMIES IN FIVE DIFFERENT CANNABIS DOSES FOR A CUSTOM EDIBLE EXPERIENCE

On December 7, the all-new and all natural, gluten and dairy-free Gumdrops hit Serra shelves. Available in five flavors with five unique experiences, each flavor is infused with a particular cannabis strain, offering control and consistency from seed-to-sugar coating.

From the kitchen responsible for the renowned bean-to-bar chocolates made in collaboration with Portland’s Woodblock Chocolate, confectioner-in-chief Holly Hukill put the same artful consideration into each and every gumdrop.

“We chose a classic gumdrop shape for it’s timeless, playful shape (not to mention portability),” notes Hukill, Director of Product Development. “We continued the playful theme with our whole fruit puree flavors, adding spice to passionfruit and herbaceous notes to the strawberry.”

The two THC-dominant flavors—Spicy Passionfruit and Triple Berry—both contain 5 mg THC per gumdrop. But while the passionfruit flavor is made with G Krush, a heavier, relaxing strain by Prūf Cultivar, the berry contains Banner, with zippy, uplifting effects. The all-CBD Lemon Ginger flavor is made exclusively with Ringo’s Gift flower from East Fork Cultivars, and there are two more nuanced doses containing a combination of THC and CBD.

Initially oversimplified as an antithesis to THC, CBD is a differently psychoactive cannabinoid, the effects of which can be complemented and fortified by some amount of THC, and vice versa.  Depending on cannabis tolerance, circumstances, and body chemistry, one might sleep best, relax more functionally, or regulate their appetite more effectively with a balanced 1:1 dose of THC and CBD, not one or the other.

The 1:1 Strawberry Basil is made with 5 mg THC via Prūf Cultivar’s Strawberry Cough and 5 mg CBD from East Fork Cultivars Ringo's Gift. Tart Cherry is a 2:1 THC-dominant containing 5 mg THC and 2.5 mg CBD from Prūf Cultivar’s Astral Works. Available in two sizes: mini 2-packs starting at $5 each, and a 10-pack box starting at $15.
